The successful "Multi-Trauma Course" facilitated by Project Rozana at the Emergency Medicine Academy (EMA) in the Emergency Medicine Department, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center provided to ER/trauma staff from Al Ahli Hospital in Hebron. It focused on various topics with an emphasis on teamwork and professional content. It is an excellent initiative towards achieving clinical excellence, optimal teamwork, and high standards of quality and safety of care.
The course targeted ER residents, nursing staff, and physician assistants working in an emergency department with 20 participants per course. The indirect beneficiaries of this course are patients arriving at the hospitals’ ER, which can lead to improved health services outcomes.
Great efforts were made by the trauma service at the hospital to deliver this course, which included lectures and simulations dealing with blunt and penetrating trauma, pediatric trauma, e-FAST principles, and urgent procedures workshops such as chest tube insertion, central line, and bleeding control.
